AAT Assessment and Award
The AAT qualifications are assessed by means of computer-based assessments (CBAs). The CBAs can be written at any time during the year that best suits the student’s timetable. When a student is ready to take an assessment, AOY will arrange for the assessment to take place at a computer centre as close as possible to the student’s location. Assessment venues are available in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. Travel and accommodation (where required) will be for the student’s own account.
Students are required to write and pass separate assessments for each module of their AAT qualification. One attempt for each module is included in the course fee, but second and third attempt will be for the student’s own account. The first year AAT membership fee is also included.
The Academy of York is accredited by FASSET SETA, AAT(SA), HWSETA, SABPP, PMSA, CompTIA and the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB), and is provisionally registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training as a Private College.
