ICB Assessment and Award
Using the ICB (Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) programme material, 30% of your final mark comes from the activities and evaluations you undertake during your accounting and bookkeeping distance learning course. Your Portfolio of Evidence (POE) is a folder, which you will receive once you have registered for your assessment, in which you include any assignments given to you as well as the tests you take.
When you sit down to write your final assessment, which accounts for 70% of your final mark, you will include that in your POE, which an assessor will then check. Assessments venues are located throughout South Africa and a detailed list of all venues is available. Upon successful completion of your exam, ICB will certify you with a statement of competence showing the respective unit standards, which you have completed.
Important ICB Exam Information
You will need to register as a Student Member with the ICB, and for the final assessment before prescribed closing dates with them.
